Search Engine Optimization is described in detail with additional explanations of internet indexing and how to craft strategies to optimize search patterns.

Search intents are described as important factors for user results and are defined as the following categories:

  • Navigational Searches
  • Informational Searches
  • Commercial Investigation
  • Looking for a Purchase

More in depth teachings are given ranging from Indexing, keywords, long tail keywords, ranking, and even keyword strategies.

This short book answers the questions on how to define keyword strategy considering ecommerce as an example:

  1. What do you sell?
  2. Where do you sell it?
  3. How do you sell it?
  4. Why is your product better?

The authors drive home the key to selling online as being very clear with keyword association and also using Google’s keyword tool.

Search Engine Optimization is dependent upon understanding keywords and searches and the competitive nature of each word.

For a Digital Marketer to determine a strategy you’ll need to look at how many searches there are, how competitive each word is, and then compare with additional keyword ideas.

Then, look at the list of keywords and determine the best way to structure your website to meet how Google will index these.

Google has 4 key areas that it will search for Keywords.

A.) Page Titles

B.) H1 Tags

C.) Clean URLs

D.) Alt tags

Therefore it is important to accurately name your pages, images, alt tags, and headers.

One of the most important strategies is to capitalize on links when considering search engine optimization.

Keywords: Which Keywords Describe You?

Keyword Research Strategy is extremely important for your website to tie into searches for relevant content.

2 areas of your website pages can really determine performance:

  1. Titling your pages. Google picks up on changes and keywords in the title.
  2. Images. Alt Tags are actually quite important.

Links & Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Google uses indexed links to find websites so it’s very important to build strong linking from reputable website sources that identify your page as a valid source of info.

Additionally, having a clean intra page index linking your content to other helpful and relevant content improves search engine functionality.

You can use a press release through a large network to create this kind of organic and trusted linking, although it could be pricey.

Other useful free linking strategies include submitting your site to directories and becoming active on industry blogs as a content writer or simply leaving useful comments with links.

Google Algorithm

Some helpful tips on ranking quality determined by Google include the following:

  • Outbound & Inbound Links. Link to more references around the web.
  • Engagement. How many people are visiting the site, staying, and browsing more pages?
  • Bounce Rate. How fast are users heading for the exit once clicking your page?
  • Social Media. Are People following, liking, sharing, and engaging with your content?
  • Article Set Up: Everything needs to work smoothly for readers and be easy to follow with helpful links.

Some good tips for Digital Marketers provided are to provide links, write good and genuine content, and to use pictures and videos in addition to words.

Internationally, the SEO market may differ and you’ll need to optimize your site for Search engines such as Yandex and Baidu vs. Google.

Often, you’ll need to audit your SEO and search how you rank for your 50 top keywords.

Fix broken links, missing page titles, missing H1 tags or change nonunique titles, change URLs to make sense logically, and swap competitive keywords out for rank- able ones.

In a lot of ways, this information is similar to one of my favorite Authors Joe Manausa.

Joe has Written a Book Called The Business of Getting Business, that acts as a guide for small businesses to conquer digital marketer initiatives.
